Terms of Use

1. The Recall service

Recall helps users store, organize, search, and retrieve memories, notes, and documents. Some features may use automated extraction, search, or artificial intelligence.

Features may change as the service develops. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue functionality where reasonably necessary.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of documents, memories, notes, images, and other content you submit to Recall.

You grant Recall a limited permission to host, store, copy, process, index, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the functionality you request.

You represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to upload and process your content.

4. AI-generated information

AI-generated answers, summaries, extracted fields, and classifications may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing important information against its original source.

Recall does not provide medical, legal, financial, employment, or other professional advice. Do not rely exclusively on AI output for decisions that may materially affect you or another person.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• Use Recall for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive activity.
• Upload content you do not have permission to process.
• Attempt to access another person’s account or private content.
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation or security of Recall.
• Probe, scan, or test the service for vulnerabilities without permission.
• Reverse engineer protected portions of the service except where permitted by law.
• Use automated methods that place unreasonable load on the service.
• Use Recall to distribute malware or harmful content.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Some features require a paid Recall Pro subscription. Pricing and subscription periods are displayed before purchase.

Apple processes purchases made through the App Store. Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled through your Apple ID subscription settings before the renewal date.

Refunds and billing disputes for App Store purchases are generally handled according to Apple’s applicable policies.

7. Third-party services

Recall relies on third-party infrastructure and services, including authentication, storage, hosting, artificial intelligence, and payment providers. Availability may occasionally be affected by those providers.

Your use of third-party services may also be subject to their applicable terms and policies.

8. Account suspension and termination

You may stop using Recall and delete your account at any time.

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address security threats, unlawful activity, serious violations of these terms, non-payment, or risks to other users or the service.

9. Availability

We work to provide a reliable service, but Recall is provided on an “as available” basis. Interruptions may occur because of maintenance, provider outages, security incidents, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Keep independent copies of documents that are important to you. Recall should not be treated as the only archive for irreplaceable information.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Recall is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or guaranteed accuracy of extracted or generated information.

Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recall will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

These limitations do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or applicable requirements change. The effective date and version will be updated when revised terms are published.

Continued use after revised terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
